1: Glass damage factors

The toughened glass with drilling or cutting angle is easy to burst.

Strong typhoon and other wind disasters lead to the failure of wind resistance design, which can cause the burst of toughened glass.

Solution to self explosion of tempered glass:

Toughened glass is a kind of safety glass confirmed by laws and regulations. It is widely used in places with high requirements for mechanical strength and safety, such as glass doors, building curtain walls, facade windows, indoor partitions, furniture, partitions near heat sources and places with severe cold and hot impact. The characteristics of tempered glass determine that self explosion is inevitable, and the time and conditions of self explosion can not be estimated. Therefore, in order to prevent the harm caused by self explosion of tempered glass, some measures or methods are often taken in the process of glass processing and installation to reduce the loss caused by self explosion of tempered glass.

1. Hot dip treatment (homogenization treatment)

The toughened glass is put in the hot-dip furnace for heating, heat preservation and cooling, so that the nickel sulfide in the toughened glass reaches a stable state, and the stress inside the glass goes to balance, so as to reduce the self explosion rate. Advantages: the self explosion rate is greatly reduced, the cost is low, and the glass specifications and layout are not changed. Disadvantages: self explosion can not be completely ruled out, and the stress will be reduced accordingly.

2 laminated glass:

The PVB intermediate film is sandwiched between the glass and processed at high temperature and high pressure. The toughness of PVB film is very good. When the laminated glass is broken by external force, it can absorb a lot of impact energy and make it decay rapidly. Therefore, the laminated glass is difficult to break through and maintain excellent integrity. This makes the buildings with laminated glass in the explosion, wind disaster, earthquake and other situations, even if the glass is broken, it can still be kept in the frame of doors and windows, protect the personnel inside and outside the building from the harm of flying glass fragments, and it is difficult to damage the indoor by wind and rain and other foreign objects. The shortcomings are as follows:

1) The weight and thickness of glass increase the bearing capacity and load of the building;

2) Fire is not conducive to escape and rescue;

3) Increase the construction cost.

3 film glass:

Stick high performance polyester film on glass. Polyester film is commonly known as safety explosion-proof film. When the glass is broken due to various reasons, it can stick glass fragments to prevent splashing, protect the personnel inside and outside the building from the harm of flying glass fragments, and it is difficult to damage indoor by wind and rain and other foreign objects. The safety explosion-proof membrane can be connected with the frame edge system together with organic glue to form a glass film protection system to prevent falling. Advantages: convenient processing, no change of glass specifications and layout. Disadvantages: increase the construction cost.

4. Enclosure design:

Guardrails should be set at crowded places to prevent the loss caused by glass fragmentation.

5 ultra white tempered glass:

It has good thermal stability, high strength, low self explosion rate (close to 0), safe to use, high transmittance, good permeability, high technology content and wide application range.
